Design Houses

One of the first actions of IC Brazil Program was, from 2005 on, to support the creation, installation and attraction of companies to Brazil, which develop integrated circuits design, called the Design Houses (DHs).

As a result, currently there are 22 Design Houses spread throughout Brazil. Thirteen of these organizations are partially supported by the Program, and have no profits. Most of them are spin-offs, that have emerged or have been connected to universities or public research institutions.

Five organizations have profits, and were originated by national private companies, multinational or local start-ups. And there are four that, although compose the Brazilian DHs scenery, they are completely independent of the Program.
